BASS The Project is a multimedia show that blends music, poetry, film, rhythm and dance with the participation of artists from diverse cultures.
Very special artists appear in an unusual combination:
The Berlin Music Ensemble under the direction of Miguel Pérez Inesta – Karajan Foundation – plays short contemporary compositions with the soloists Junko Fujii and Josep Castanyer Alonso – cello – and the piano duo Susan Wang and Clemens Hund-Göschel.
Lyrical texts and poetic dialogues are presented by the actresses Lea Drinda, Katrin Hansmeier, Mathilde Irrmann and Martina Kaledes and rhythmically accompanied by Balu Radjendrakurup percussion.
The singers interpret the chansons and songs
Olvido Ruiz – Cuba, Jessie Brown – Canada, Owen Lee – Jamaica/Canada, Luke Levis – Canada and Natalia Tsarikova – Finland/Russia accompanied by an amazing band of multi-award winning musicians from Canada featuring guitarist Max Solo, the Grammy nominated Cuban Saxophonist Leandro Saint-Hill and drummer Alex Schwers.
Carla Oya choreographs the show with her dance performance.
Projections and films visualize the music.
