According to the Regional Health Authority, of the 514 analyzes carried out in the two reference laboratories in the Region in the last 24 hours, a positive case of Covid-19 on the island of São Miguel was diagnosed.
The diagnosed case reports to a 42-year-old female, non-resident of the Azores, who arrived in the Region on June 27, from an air connection with the mainland.
It has a stable clinical situation and the procedures defined for a confirmed case, testing and surveillance of close contacts have already been taken care of by the Municipal Health Delegation, and it has been provided with prophylactic isolation in the place where it has been housed since its arrival.
With this most recent case, a total of 152 cases of infection with the new coronavirus have already been detected in the Region, with four currently active positive cases, three of which on the island of São Miguel and one on the island of Terceira.
