From 1995 to July 1 of this year, Azerbaijan invested 19.9 billion US dollars in the economy of Turkey. SIA reports that this was stated by Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov at the Azerbaijan-Turkey Investment Forum dedicated to the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the Republic of Turkey.
According to him, Turkey ranks 1st in terms of the amount of Azerbaijan’s investment in foreign countries: “This is a clear indicator of the development of investment partnership between our countries. It is encouraging that Turkey ranks 1st among the countries investing in the non-oil and gas sector in Azerbaijan.” .
In addition, the minister noted that the value of the trade turnover of the two countries in January-November of this year exceeded 7.2 billion US dollars: “This is 33% more than in the same period last year.”
