The statement said the missile system prohibited by international law was used by the Armenian military to fire on civilian infrastructure in the cities of Barda and Tartar in Azerbaijan.
The Azerbaijani army also destroyed a Smerch missile system on Thursday.
The two Soviet fraternities have been at war since September 27 over the Nagorno-Karabakh territorial dispute. The Armenian-occupied territories were liberated from Azerbaijan after the Soviet collapse of the 1990s. However, Azerbaijan did not recognize the independence and considered the ruling Nagorno-Karabakh as an ally partisan ally with Armenia. (Read: Azerbaijan: Armenia Continues to Violate Ceasefire)
Both Azerbaijan and Armenia accuse each other of violating the ceasefire that has been agreed upon three times since October 10.
To date, at least 91 Azerbaijani civilians have lost their lives, including 11 children and 27 women. It is not clear how many people died on the Armenian side. (Read: UN Secretary-General Urges Armenia and Azerbaijan to Obtain a ceasefire)
The Jaska Azerbaijan office said 2,442 houses, 92 apartment buildings and 428 public buildings could no longer be used due to war damage.
