Azeb Wolde-Giorghis, Washington correspondent for Radio-Canada

The journalist became a correspondent in the American capital. Serving the public broadcaster for twenty years, the political science graduate has covered Europe, Africa and the United States. During her career, she notably won an Amnesty International award for her coverage of the Rwandan genocide and helped launch the first Radio-Canada office in Africa. In the winter of 2020, the journalist had proposed Ethiopia of my heart. In this very personal documentary, she tells the story of her family who had to leave their native country when the little girl was only seven years old.
