A few days after the debut of the O’Higgins 2024 squad, coach Juan Manuel Azconzábal had words regarding precisely the formation of the group of footballers and whether or not he is waiting for one more element.
In that sense, from the same sports management, they previously expressed that they still need to add a winger on the left to close the squad, but the coach, without clarifying the position, stated that they are still looking for someone on offense.
At the moment, six players have arrived at the institution, that is, practically 50 percent of the elements that left have been renewed, but, adding the youth players who joined the first team plus those who returned from loan, the number increases 13 new footballers.
“We have to continue searching for offensive variants. One can sometimes look for necessary characteristics within the squad or variant and can also look for hierarchy. If it is not what one is looking for, but it gives a leap in quality to the team, I would not refuse,” he stressed. The latter, as long as a market opportunity appears that can be taken.
