AZ takes over Vangelis Pavlidis from Willem II | Football

sport">The 22-year-old international was already missing training at Willem II on Friday morning to complete his transfer. Pavlidis is pleased that this has now been completed. “AZ is one of the best clubs in the Netherlands. My first impressions of the club are very good. AZ has achieved good results in recent years. Playing European football is something I’m really looking forward to.”

sport">The transfer of Pavlidis, who still has a contract in Tilburg until June 30, 2022, has been in the air for a while. The footballer from Thessaloniki is not only seen in Alkmaar as a broadside reinforcement, but with his arrival AZ already has a replacement ready if Calvin Stengs or Myron Boadu leave. Pavlidis can handle both in the striker (preferably) and on the wings.

sport">His new employer, AZ, is also pleased with the switch. Vangelis has made an impression in the Eredivisie in recent seasons and is one of the better strikers in the competition. In addition, there is still a lot of scope in his development,” said director of football affairs Max Huijberts.

sport">In two seasons for Willem II, Pavlidis played 82 games. He was good for 34 goals and nineteen assists.

Nikos Michelis

sport">Where one Greek leaves, another Greek comes. Willem II has reached an agreement with AC Milan on the rental of Nikos Michelis, a young left-footed center defender. The 20-year-old 1.92 tall defender was trained at Asteras Tripoli and last season played for AC Milan Primavera, the oldest youth team in I Rossoneri.
