Ayuso creates ‘112 Squatting’, a hotline for citizens against possible illegal occupations – idealista / news

The Community of Madrid has decided to set up a Citizen Service Office dedicated exclusively to fight against the occupation of real estate. Along with the existing 112 emergency line, a free 900 phone will be created that will advise the user on their rights, the first steps to follow and will notify the competent authorities.

“We intend to contribute to the fight against the illegal usurpation of real estate”, highlighted the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, in her speech during the Debate of the State of the Region.

The Office Against Occupation It will be coordinated at the facilities of the Madrid Security and Emergency Agency (ASEM 112), which will be in communication with the security forces and the competent administrations in cases of illegal occupation of buildings.

“Actions will be coordinated between victims, administrations and security forces to speed up the resolution of illegal occupations as much as possible, always guaranteeing the principle of legal certainty and respecting the applicable legislative framework,” the president clarified.

The Community of Madrid itself has suffered the occupation of some 2,000 houses of his program of the Social Housing Agency, as reported to the Prosecutor’s Office last January.

During this legislature, 650 files have been initiated for the recovery of housing and public premises. Of these, the regional agency has already recovered 230 homes, but another 329 cases have already reached the courts.
