Aymeric Laporte only left Manchester City for Al-Nassr in the summer. After David Alaba’s injury, there were recent rumors that he could return to Europe in the winter and move to Real Madrid. But nothing will come of it.

Like the Spanish newspaper Brand reported, the central defender was after the Injury to David Alaba associated with the Royals. However, the report states that the 29-year-old has found “stability” in Saudi Arabia, he will not leave Al-Nassr and the Riyadh club will move on to their €30m man, who is reportedly worth £21m (26, 6 million euros) per year, not to give it back after half a year. Furthermore, Los Blancos would not be willing to cover his considerable salary costs.

Laporte was one of many big names to move to the Saudi professional league this summer, like Cristiano Ronaldo to Al-Nassr. The club is in second place in the table, ten points behind leaders Al-Hilal. Even though the deficit is big, they haven’t lost the title yet – they are also still represented in the AFC Champions League and the King Cup of Champions, and Laporte should remain an important factor on the way to the long-awaited title.

Laporte helped Manchester City to a total of twelve major titles during his five years at the club before signing a three-year contract with Al-Nassr at the end of August.

Al-Nassr will face sixth-placed Saudi Arabian professional league side Al-Ittihad on Boxing Day. Ronaldo and Co. need a perfect second half of the season to close the ten-point gap to league leaders Al-Hilal.
