Storm Petra, which swept through Switzerland earlier this week, caused insured damage estimated by insurer Axa at 3 million francs. So far, the Swiss subsidiary of the French insurance giant has received 140 requests for routing from its customers, it said on Wednesday.
According to initial estimates, Axa is counting on a total of 750 claims. Claims continue to pour in, however, which could bring the total damage to compensation to 3 million francs. Petra’s costs are expected to be lower than those caused by the Burglind storm in 2018, notes the French insurer.
Most of the damage reported falls under household, property, automobile and business insurance.
