AWS affected by new outage – Slack and Epic Games Store affected

One of Amazon Web Services, AWS, a data center on the east coast of the United States, was hit by a power outage on Wednesday, reports The Verge.

The outage is said to have led to major operational disruptions for Slack, Imgur, Epic Games Store, Asana, Flipboard, Udemy, Grindr, Hulu and IoT products from Honeywell, Life 360 ​​and Samsung’s Smart Things.

This is the third interruption for AWS recently three the weeks. Previous outages affected Netflix, Disney Plus and smart home products from Ring, among others.

Later on Wednesday, Amazon managed to start up the power supply to the affected data center and was able to begin the restoration work.
