Wuppertal (dpa) – At the 34th Federal Film Festival, the winners were announced on Saturday in Wuppertal. A total of 29 prizes were given to young and older amateur filmmakers, as announced by the German Children’s and Youth Film Center. The films from the final round of this year’s only online competition can be viewed on the Internet until June 26th.

The awards in the various categories and age groups are endowed with a total of 21,000 euros. The participants in the Youth Film Prize and Generation Film Prize competitions were between 4 and 95 years old. The annual festival will take place in Augsburg in 2022.

The audience award went to the production “One Ocean”. In it a grown man describes abuse he has suffered. “An absolutely remarkable documentary achievement,” commented the jury on the 20-minute work by a group of 22-25 year old filmmakers from Berlin and Potsdam.
