Awards for red-white-red productions at New York Festivals

In New York, ORF, Ö1 and ServusTV productions received international awards.

Every year, the New York Festivals, which are made up of an international jury, award radio prizes for the world’s best radio programs. This year the prize was not awarded at a festival gala, but announced online. The feature “The girl who fell from heaven” designed by Renate Maurer, an edition of the Ö1 series “Hörbilder”, won gold in the category “Documentary / Heroes”. Ö1 will repeat the “audio images” on Saturday, June 20th at 9:05 am.

ORF and Servus TV can look forward to awards at the New York Festivals for TV and Film. The Terra Mater Factual Studios from Servus TV won eight golden trophies and one grand award. “Okavango”, “Wilde Insel Borneo” and “The Sun – Inferno in Space” were awarded. The ORF won a gold medal in the “Drama” category for the historical drama “A village defends itself”.

Several agencies from Austria are still in the running for the New York Festivals 2020 Advertising Awards, which will not be given until May 2nd: Among them Jung von Matt / Donau with two campaigns for Erste Group Bank and Magenta, the Rahofer advertising agency with the Palfinger Annual Report 2018 as well as the tractor advertising agency with their viral hit for Wiener Linien.
