Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan opened trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), United States (USA), Wednesday (9/21/2022) local time. In the video posted on the @NYSE Twitter account, it appears that Luhut is ringing the bell to signal the start of trading on one of the largest stock exchanges in the world.
In addition to NYSE officials, Luhut was accompanied by, among others, the Indonesian Ambassador to the United States Rosan Roeslani, the Indonesian Stock Exchange Commissioner, Pandu Sjahrir, and other delegates.
“The NYSE welcomes the arrival of the coordinating minister for maritime affairs and investments of the Republic of Indonesia Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan and a delegation from the government of Indonesia to ring the opening bell,” reads a statement on Twitter account @NYSE, cited Wednesday (9/21/2022).

After pressing the bell for the negotiations to begin, Luhut, along with NYSE delegates and officials, cheered and smiled brightly. It can also be seen in the video that the cheers from the audience are loud stakeholders the NYSE.
