VALLADOLID, 28 (PRESS EUROPE)

The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (Mitma) has awarded the contract for the structural rehabilitation works of the pavement of the N-122 motorway, in the Aranda de Duero-Limite section, for 6.4 million euros (VAT included), with the province of Valladolid, all in the territory of Burgos.

The stretch winds between kilometric points 269,560 and 296,500 of the aforementioned state road.

The foreseen interventions are cold recycling with emulsion of the upper 12 centimeters of the surface in both lanes; the screed of 8 centimeters over the entire width of the road; raising the pavement on the platforms after sealing the cracks, milling and replacing the existing pavement in a thickness of 5 centimeters in the urban crossing sections passing through Aranda de Duero and Castrillo de la Vega; additional transition milling between sections with and without screed; and the replacement of the coils and joints of the measuring station which have been affected by the rehabilitation works.

This action is part of the conservation and maintenance program of the State Highway Network, in which Mitma has invested almost 250 million euros since June 2018 in the province of Burgos, and which generates a significant boost to improve the quality of service of the existing state road infrastructure.
