11 Bit Studios reveals that their award-winning survival game “This War of Mine: Final Cut” will be released for Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X / S in May.
“This War of Mine: Final Cut” is the Polish game developer 11 Bit Studios’ latest update to its award-winning game “This War of Mine”. The game originally came out in 2014 and over the years there have been both updates and DLC that expand the original game.
Despite the name “This War of Mine”, the game is not a traditional war game. Instead, you play as a group of civilians trying to survive in a besieged city. Snipers, strangers, lack of food and medicine are problems that the player is faced with. “This War of Mine: Final Cut” expands the original version with 4k resolution, new UI design, updated locations, tracks from the game’s DLC “This War of Mine: Stories”, extra missions, and the new pregnant character Livia.
11 Bit Studios is well aware that “This War of Mine” is highly topical given the war in Ukraine. In connection with the announcement of “This War of Mine: Final Cut”, the Polish studio writes in a statement that they have collected $ 500,000 to the aid organization War Child, and that the developer has also started a fundraiser in the gaming industry to help the people suffering from the war in Ukraine. –
Although “This War of Mine: Final Cut” to the surface seems to be a complete version of the survival game, this release will not include the three episodes from the game’s DLC “This War of Mine: Stories”, writes Eurogamer. If you want both the basic game and DLC collected, the edition “This War of Mine: Complete Version”, as the name might reveal, is something for you. –
Are you eager to deal with problems such as snipers, food shortages and now a potential birth with the new character Livia, both “This War of Mine: Final Cut” and “This War of Mine: Complete Version” will come to Playstation 5, Xbox Series X / S, and Game Pass on 10 May. If you already own the basic game for PC, “This War of Mine: Final Cut” is a free update.
