This year, the city of Bargteheide is offering an honorary award for children and young people for the seventh time. The honor is to be given to volunteer work by children and young people who contribute to the development of the city of Bargteheide in our community. For example, social, ecological or cultural commitment can be recognized as well as commitment in the field of education, sport or youth work.
Prize winners can be:
- Individuals or groups, provided that they are children or young people up to the age of 20 residing in Bargteheide or are completing their school education or training in Bargteheide.
Ø Bargteheider youth clubs / associations or youth groups from Bargteheider clubs / associations.
The honorary prize for children and young people is awarded in the “Schoolchildren and young people up to the age of 20” category and is endowed with 500 euros. The award winners are obliged to use the award earmarked for their voluntary work.
A jury decides on the award of the prize. It can also award the prize to several winners. The total prize money of 500 euros must not be exceeded.
In addition to the head of the city, the jury consists of a representative of the youth work team, the chairperson of the Committee for Education, Youth and Sport and a parent representative in the Bargteheider schools. In addition, two students from secondary schools run by the city can get involved in the selection process. These are then entitled to vote. All Bargteheid citizens are entitled to submit suggestions.
