Russian automaker AvtoVAZ has suspended production of Lada Granta Cross station wagons due to a shortage of components.
This was reported by the Avtograd News public page on the VKontakte social network.
AvtoVAZ, due to a shortage of components, has temporarily suspended the production of Granta Cross (station wagon) cars for an indefinite period since December 8. Once the necessary components arrive, assembly will resume, the time frame is unknown at this time,” the statement said.
The Cross car differs from the standard Lada Granta by the presence of a body kit made of durable plastic, which protects the enamel from damage on light off-road conditions, high ground clearance, as well as new tires that are suitable for driving on rough terrain.
The car is equipped with a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with a power of 90 and 106 hp. The gearbox is five-speed manual.
Before this, it became known that AvtoVAZ employees were announced a bonus payment of 14 thousand rubles at the end of the year. Company employees mobilized into the ranks of the RF Armed Forces will also be paid a bonus in the amount of 28 thousand rubles.
