AvtoVAZ showed a prototype of the LADA e-Largus electric car and started testing it

On December 26, Izhevsk hosted a presentation of a prototype of the LADA e-Largus electric car, which was attended by the president of AvtoVAZ Maxim Sokolov and the head of the Republic of Udmurtia Alexander Brechalov. LADA e-Largus is the most localized Russian electric vehicle. By the time of the start of its pilot production at the LADA plant in Izhevsk, the share of using components from Russian suppliers will be at least 50% (or 3600 points).

Presenting the e-Largus prototype, Maxim Sokolov said that the company plans to produce a pilot batch of e-Largus in Izhevsk in 2023. In turn, Alexander Brechalov noted that the charging infrastructure will be developed in the republic in the coming years. Currently there are 13 electric charging stations in Udmurtia and it is planned to increase their number to at least 40. According to our information, the production of charging stations will be started at one of the Udmurtia enterprises. Also, on the basis of the Izhevsk LADA Automobile Plant, it is planned to create an industrial park where components for the entire electric transport industry will be produced. Judging by the numbers, the assembly of the e-Largus prototype presented at the event was not carried out in Izhevsk.

The company has already started a cycle of road and laboratory tests on prototypes of the e-Largus electric vehicle, which will be produced in passenger and commercial van versions. Both versions will be equipped with a 110 kW (149.6 hp) permanent magnet synchronous electric motor. Li-ion batteries are located in the engine compartment and in the place where the gas tank was, due to which the useful volume of the passenger compartment and trunk remained the same (560 liters in a five-seater version), and it was also possible to position the center of gravity lower to increase the stability of the vehicle.

The e-Largus instrument panel allows you to control all its systems, the charge level and the range, which is 400 km with a driver and 100 kg of payload (according to the NEDC method). It takes less than 10 seconds to accelerate the electric car to 100 km/h, the top speed is 145 km/h (electronically limited). The total load capacity is 430 kg.
