AVTOVAZ launched its online store three years ago, during the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic. But at that time, the website only offered the choice and reservation of cars from dealers, who set the final prices themselves. Now an online program for direct sales of Lada cars has been launched at recommended retail prices (additional discounts of up to 40 thousand rubles are also possible).
AVTOVAZ subsidiary JSC Central Service Station was appointed as the contractor. The promotion scheme is as follows: the buyer selects a car on the online display and leaves a request for reservation. A prepayment of 10 thousand rubles must be made within 70 minutes (it can only be returned through the dealership manager). An important nuance: cars under this program are sold only on credit; it is issued by AvtoFinanceBank, controlled by AVTOVAZ. After completing an application for a loan (with authorization at State Services) and its subsequent approval, you can pick up your purchase at one of the three Central Service Station sites in Togliatti. Yes, to buy a car at the recommended price you will have to actually come to the factory, like in the old days.
AVTOVAZ states that under this program, Lada Granta cars are available in the Standard configuration (with one airbag, without ABS and air conditioning, in black or silver), as well as the Drive Active version with lowered suspension and external body kit. However, at the time of writing this news, there was not a single Lada left in stock on the online storefront. The recommended retail price of Grants in the Standard configuration is 699,900 rubles, and Drive Active is estimated at a minimum of 950,900 rubles.
