Lada does not yet reveal the price of the “anti-crisis” car, but promises that it will be the lowest in the new car market. It is designed to ensure the maximum possible localization of components, eliminating the shortage of imported parts.
Contrary to expectations, the simplified Lada Granta has retained both electric power steering and electric front door windows. The “anti-crisis” car also has ISOFIX child seat mounts as well as an on-board computer. The Classic equipment also includes a central locking system, an audio system kit with four speakers and 14-inch steel discs with plastic trim.
The Lada Granta Classic will continue to be produced in the sedan, hatchback and station wagon versions, as well as in the Sport Active version.
A similar “anti-crisis” version is being made for the “Lada Niva Legend” and “Niva Travel” models, but the “Vesta” model will be simplified later, however, the manufacturer has not yet announced the deadlines for the return of these cars to the “AvtoVAZ” conveyor. It is currently known that the production downtime of all models, except for the “Grant” model, will be at least until June 10.
It is recalled that AvtoVAZ and other Russian automakers experienced a shortage of imported components after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on February 24, after which foreign countries imposed sanctions on Russia.
