Avranches confirms its excellent start to the season. Winners in a very good way against Châteauroux last weekend, the men of Frédéric Reculeau did it again on the lawn of the Stade Louis-Michel. After 20 first minutes with no real clear opportunities, but with good pressing, the Avranchinais took advantage of a misunderstanding of the Sétoise defense to open the scoring by their captain Charles Boateng (21 ‘). Ten minutes later, on a brilliant inspiration from Madih Talal, David Pollet scored the goal of the break for the Blues and whites (32 ‘). Logical score at the break.
Transfigured in the second half, Guibal’s men had a number of chances (47’56 ‘, 58’, 68 ‘, 70’), but only found the fault in the 85 ‘on a header from Walid Jarmouni. Much too late for FC Sète. Second defeat for the latter, who will have to raise his head against Le Mans on August 30. Avranches, new provisional leader, will find him, Bourg-en-Bresse at home.

IN THE GREEN
The Avranchinese attack (6): The attacking trio were very present at the Stade Louis-Michel. Kassa hurt his former team while Bianchini delivered an assist for teammate Pollet, who scored his third goal of the season.
Harold Voyer (7): The native of Saint-Germain-en-Laye played his defensive role this Friday evening. Despite Jarmouni’s header at the end of the match, Voyer has very rarely been in difficulty in the face of attacks from Sétoises.
Madih Talal (7) : The number 10 from Avranches did a big job in the first half. At the origin of the second Avranchinais goal (31 ‘), Talal could have scored a nice goal from a free kick just before half-time but Vincent Pappalardo was on the path.

The Sétoise defense (4): Like Avranches’ first goal, the defense of FC Sète was in difficulty on its lawn. Loss of ball and two avoidable goals.
