On Wednesday December 7, the Avranches hospital received a check for 69,439 euros by the Channel Cancer League. This donation is used to improve medical equipment dedicated to cancer care.

This is equipment that we need to provide a public service response to as many people as possible ”, explains the director of the Avranches hospital Joanny Allombert. “This allows us to acquire quality equipment to have more precise diagnoses. This high-performance equipment helps attract new doctors and interns,” he adds.
Renewed help
Receiving donations from across the Channel, the Cancer League had already paid €26,908 last year towards the purchase of high-tech medical equipment. “Our main budget remains for research, but we wanted to continue helping fund local equipment,” says Patrice Prével, vice president of the Channel Cancer League. In addition, the association helps financially families who have difficulty making ends meet.
