For “Pillars of Eternity,” developer Obsidian created a rich fantasy universe that you can now experience in a completely different way in the US studio’s latest work. Our hands-on hints at a genre hit that combines the best of “Baldur’s Gate”, “Fallout” and “The Elder Scrolls” with nimble first-person action.
The two consoles in the Xbox Series series have now been available in stores for almost four years. There are a lot of good games for this. But its owners are still waiting for the really big hit for the current Microsoft platform, which is at least available exclusively in the console segment and does not serve any niche. That could change at the beginning of 2025.
Then “Avowed“, the new game from Obsidian Entertainment (“Fallout: New Vegas”, “South Park: The Stick of Truth”, “The Outer Worlds”), will be released, which features a classic fantasy setting with a spectacular first-person -Action combined.
