The event took place on the first Sunday in October at La Sabana Metropolitan Park and brought together thousands of people who came together to support this cause. Enthusiastic participation and the purchase of products from the pink section of the catalog were essential to achieve this significant fundraising.

“Costa Rica demonstrated, once again, its solidarity with this cause. Thanks to the large participation of runners and walkers in the 2024 edition of EVERY STEP IS FOR YOU!, as well as the interest of people in the products in the pink section of our catalogs, today we donate ¢48,433,741 to FUNDESO to continue supporting the fight against breast cancer in the country,” said Priscilla Carazo, general manager of the brand in the country.

The donated funds will go toward several initiatives, including 1,250 scholarships for low-income women that will cover mammograms, ultrasounds and doctor visits. In addition, part of the proceeds will contribute to the ¡It’s time! Campaign. 2025, which aims to carry out 7,500 mammograms in vulnerable areas of the country.

“We have three axes of work: Breast cancer education and awareness; Early Detection, through mammograms, ultrasounds and biopsies; as well as Comprehensive Rehabilitation of patients. To those who receive medical treatments and live outside the capital, we offer free food and lodging at our hostel on Paseo Colón. In addition, we have other services to help people who are fighting this disease,” said Marta Kinderson, president of FUNDESO.
