The Avon brand recently convened all foundations or organizations that support women to eradicate breast cancer and gender violence through projects or proposals. The winning organizations will receive a donation from the company to implement these projects.
The application is open from last Thursday until August 30, 2021.
Projects that apply to the Avon Program to beat breast cancer should focus on: Fostering research related to breast cancer; the empowerment of women to make decisions focused on the timely detection of breast cancer; the strengthening of care systems in health centers that care for patients with breast cancer or to support comprehensive care for women diagnosed with breast cancer.
While the proposals that apply to the Avon Promise program to put an end to violence against women and girls should address the following areas of impact: Strengthening of institutions dedicated to protection, support and assistance, awareness for prevention; education for prevention or to promote the economic independence of women and thereby prevent them from experiencing situations of violence, exploitation and abuse.
The selection of the winning projects is made through a jury, made up of experts who have excelled professionally in the related areas.
The proposals received from the program for each of the areas will be evaluated by an independent jury for each cause. The winning projects will be announced in February and March 2022.

US $ 719,646 was the amount donated by Avon in Central America and the Dominican Republic at the beginning of 2021, with which about 95 thousand people benefited from both causes in the region.
