Avoid these 5 things and you will have a healthy stomach – 2024-02-12 17:52:37

Sometimes certain eating habits, repeated day after day, can lead to serious consequences for the health of our body in general and especially for the health of the stomach. Russian gastroenterologist Dr. Alexandra Yakovleva shares what they are – abuse of mineral water, consumption of large amounts of coffee, abuse of sweets, eating hot food and eating crack.

3 eating habits that are bad for the stomach Mineral water contains carbon dioxide. Getting into the stomach, this substance can stimulate the production of hydrochloric acid.

And this, in turn, can lead to exacerbation of existing problems with the gastrointestinal tract. At the same time, the expert noted that the healing mineral water can be drunk after consulting a doctor.

In moderate quantities, coffee has a tonic effect on the body. However, this drink can disturb the acidity in the stomach and lead to some other problems. Therefore, the doctor advises not to overdo it with coffee and not to drink it on an empty stomach.

Symptoms of a coffee overdose include:

Sensation of warmth – this sensation can appear suddenly or increase gradually. This is due to a sudden release of adrenaline and increased blood circulation in the body.

Redness of the face – due to the increased pressure, blood begins to rush to the cheeks. Just this minor symptom should alert you. If you notice redness on your face after drinking coffee, you should stop; you don’t have to drink the whole glass.

Body tremors – one of the most common symptoms by which you can easily recognize caffeine overdose. You may feel a contraction of a muscle group or tremors in your hands, knees, and even your entire body.

Cardiopalmus – this symptom is often accompanied by tremors and increased anxiety.

Headache and dizziness. But there are symptoms that do not appear immediately. They can appear after a few hours or even a day and include:

Nausea – can occur with an overdose of caffeine, as well as in people who drink coffee irregularly; when drinking strong coffee in the morning and/or when consuming it on an empty stomach;

Increased sweating – the nervous system is overexcited, too much adrenaline enters the blood and you begin to sing profusely, all this can be accompanied by a feeling of heat;

Frequent urges to urinate or disorder of the digestive system – in small quantities, coffee acts as a mild diuretic, but if it is overdone, this effect is amplified. A disorder of the digestive system accompanied by pain and cramps may also occur;

Malfunctions of the nervous system. Insomnia, irritability, aggression, hallucinations and reddening of the skin are symptoms of acute intoxication of the body. A large amount of sugar in the diet also does not have the best effect on metabolism. In addition, excessive consumption of such foods can lead to high blood sugar levels and weight problems, according to the expert.

“Some people try to replace sweets with healthier products in the form of honey, dried fruits and candied fruits. But they should also be used in moderation. The fructose contained in these products can provoke the accumulation of fat in the liver liver,” says the gastroenterologist.

In addition, among the bad habits, the doctor indicated biting a leg and eating too hot food. Important: The article does not replace a balanced diet and consultation with a specialist!
