Further education and training of your own employees is more important than ever to expand the technical competence in the company and to motivate employees. Samsung is also offering new training courses as part of the Samsung Business Academy. The four courses include training for the
- Smart LED Signage Indoor Master,
- Smart LED Signage Indoor Expert,
- Smart Signage The Wall Master and the
- Smart Signage The Wall Expert.
After successfully completing the training, the participants now also receive the RU credits that are so important for maintaining the CTS certification. The industry association AVIXA has already been able to award CTS certification to over 13,000 ProAV professionals worldwide after passing the exam. To renew CTS certifications, 60 Renewal Units (RU) must be achieved every three years through continuing education.
The certified training courses are designed to teach partners how to properly install and maintain Samsung LED displays. The training portfolio of the Samsung Business Academy includes training for all professional Samsung products and solutions in the display area. Samsung would like to continue to support its partners through the CTS RU accreditations and the associated transfer of product knowledge from the audiovisual industry.

Today there are over 13,000 CTS certified specialists around the world. Carlos Jose Verez Sola, Head of Technical Consulting at Samsung European Display Organisation, says: “We are very proud to be able to offer the CTS Renewal Unit trainings. Our goal is to support the AV industry with strong products and services, as well as educate professionals who are on the front lines of installing AV products.”
There are three different CTS certificates: CTS, the general program for AV industry employees, CTS-D (Design), the advanced specialization for AV planners and project managers, and CTS-I (Installation), the advanced specialization for AV technicians and integrators.
AVIXA is also a co-organizer of the ISE, which takes place in Barcelona in May this year. Participants of the invidis DSS conferences also receive AVIXA RU credits for obtaining their CTS certificate.
