COMÚN Foundation, the city of Schrems and Hochmoor Schrems Nature Park invite everyone interested to a large family festival in the UnterWasserReich to celebrate a successful initiative
Vienna (OTS) – The Hochmoor Schrems Nature Park is a unique natural treasure in the Waldviertel, whose contribution to biodiversity and climate protection is important far beyond the region. But losses in the corona pandemic as well as inflation and price increases led to a financially tense situation. In the summer of 2023, the non-profit federal foundation COMÚN, together with the city of Schrems, launched the “Hochmoor Schrems support group” founded.
A large collection was launched, companies and the public were asked to participate, the goal was 10,000 euros. The city of Schrems announced that it would double this amount, which would give the nature park a basic budget that would be around 20 percent higher in 2024. Now the organizers can announce that the initiative was successful even before the collection officially ends.
“Success Festival” on October 26th: Festival for the whole family with free entry
The “Hochmoor Schrems support groupinvites all interested parties to the big “success festival” in the UnterWasserReich with free admission. It will take place on October 26, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. with free admission and all weather conditions. There will be, among other things, live music, face painting and pumpkin carving, a free guided tour and an otter show feeding as well as a raffle with many interesting prizes. Plenty of food is also provided.
COMÚN board member Sebastian Bohrn Mena, mayor Peter Müller and the UnterWasserReich managing directors Christiane Mader & Thomas Kainz welcome everyone on site. The supporting companies include the Woerle private cheese dairy, the Schrems brewery, the Backwelt Pilz, the Gourmetfein company, the HERKA & TVG Gmünd company, the Waldviertler Werkstätten and the ADMIRAL company.
