The 37th edition of Cheval Passion ends tonight. Visitors still have all day this Sunday to enjoy the many horses, stalls, shows and entertainment. Here are five good reasons to go to the Avignon exhibition center to take advantage of the event and face the mistral.
1) The 2nd biggest event in Vaucluse. Cheval Passion attracts an average of 90,000 visitors each year. More than 1,000 horses and 800 breeders are at the show. 12 tracks and quarries are set up especially for the occasion.
2) Introductions to equestrian disciplines. The Grand Club (led by the Regional Riding Committee) is an initiative aimed at presenting all the equestrian disciplines that can be practiced in an equestrian centre. Meet from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the P5 quarry and hall H to see demonstrations and even to test different disciplines: archery, equifeel, working equitation, TREC, vaulting, long reins, western, equifun and equitation. -handi.
3) Emphasis on working equitation. Working equitation is a legacy of the traditional use of the horse in breeding and driving cattle. This Sunday, visitors will be able to see the trials of the federal working equitation competition (stage counting for the European Cup). From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., two livestock sorting rounds will be held in the outdoor quarry. The award ceremony is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Western riding will also be well represented this Sunday since the final of the three Ranch sorting categories will take place in hall J this morning until noon and from 2 to 4 p.m. The goal is to sort the cows in a specific order, as quickly as possible.
4) 80 hours of show. Cheval Passion promotes the equestrian arts every year. At lunchtime, it is possible to eat while enjoying the equestrian cabaret. A scene where the greatest equestrian artists – like my brothers Pignon, Lorenzo or Magali Delgado – cut their teeth. About twenty confirmed artists will perform their show this year. And there is also the Golden Manes gala, which is held under marquee A. This year, Europe and all its diversity will be embodied: Cordoba equestrian from Andalusia, Delphine Brookens from Belgium… a good place in the program, with various numbers linking acrobatics, stunts, elegance and balance. The last performance is this Sunday at 3 p.m.
5) The opportunity to shop. Cheval Passion brings together more than 250 exhibitors on more than 10,000m2 of covered areas. Leisure or sports riders can find equestrian equipment, equipment, food and hygiene products, transport vehicles… Everything you need to take care of your horse.
