The Belgian company of “Baladins du Miroir” comes to Avignon regularly, not every year, but it is still the eighth time that this great family of actors has arrived in the city of the Popes with its marquee, its caravans, its good humor and his love of fairground theatre.
For this edition, they offer you with “l’Infini théâtre” an original and subversive adaptation of Federico Garcia Lorca’s rural trilogy: “Blood Wedding”, “La Maison de Bernarda Alba” and “Yerma” directed by Dominique Seron.
It is a story of Spain, of Andalusian sun, of peasant land. A story of mother, sisters, daughters. A story of love, flight and revenge. The story of an overwhelming traditional society, of a society of men. A modern drama full of passion, all accompanied by the musical composition of Line Adam and performed by 16 actors, singers and musicians.
The performance lasts 2.5 hours with a short intermission to stretch your legs and have a drink, but the story is so enthralling and the acting so engaging that you won’t notice the time passing. They have achieved tremendous success.
