Ash Pournouri, 42, discovered Avicii – now he will discover Sweden’s new idol.

He has made songs for Madonna, Coldplay and David Guetta but is probably best known for being Avicii’s manager.

In recent years, Pournouri has worked as an entrepreneur and, among other things, started the Brilliant Minds conference together with Spotify founder Daniel Ek. They have had speakers such as Barack Obama, Malala Yousafzai and Christer Fuglesang at their conferences.

Ash Pournouri: “Lite andra linser”

Now he takes a seat in the “Idol” jury next to Peg Parnevik, who is also new, while Katia Mosally and Anders Bagge return to the jury.

– It feels like two lifetimes ago that I was doing music, but I have still kept an eye on the industry from the side. After all, I am naturally inclined and trained to see hidden and not entirely obvious opportunities, which may mean that I will look at the applicants with slightly different lenses. I now also have broad experience from completely different industries, so I’m a bit curious myself to see how I react and what gets me going. I am very busy, says Ash Pournouri in a press release.

TV4: “Very cool”

Just in time for the program to celebrate its 20th anniversary, TV4 therefore takes the opportunity to remake the jury. A few weeks ago, Kishti Tomita announced that she was being forced out of the “Idol” jury after seven years. Then Alexander Kronlund also announced that he is leaving the jury after as many years.

– It will be very cool and exciting with Ash as a new jury member in Idol. His CV, both in the music industry and as an entrepreneur, speaks for itself and I believe he will contribute valuable knowledge and input to develop Idol further, says Malin Knave, producer for “Idol” in a press release.
