Avianca starts selling tickets for its route between Havana and Bogotá

The Colombian airline Avianca announced that it has started selling tickets for its new route directly connecting Havana and Bogotá, which will operate with a daily flight starting December 16 .

This new route has been designed to provide more travel options for those wishing to travel between the Caribbean and Latin America, and will be carried out on board an A320 aircraft, which has a capacity for 180 people. In that sense, daily flights allow the movement of 2,500 passengers per week.

Likewise, the route will provide transportation facilities for those who want to take advantage of the connections available at the airport of the Colombian capital.

The official Avianca website states that one flight will leave Colombia around noon, and the second will leave the Island in the afternoon. Both trips last approximately three hours.

According to David Alemán, Avianca’s sales director for Colombia and South America, visiting Havana has great cultural and touristic value, so there was no doubt that international travelers would take advantage of it.

“It will be a route that will allow millions of travelers from different parts of the world to connect with the history, gastronomy and culture of Havana through Bogotá,” he said.

It should be remembered that according to the regulations of the United States government, United States citizens or people living or moving through that country have restrictions on visiting Cuba. They must do so under one of the 12 approved categories, so the airline recommends consulting the official provisions before purchasing your tickets.

Avianca has a hundred years of experience, and is currently one of the largest airlines with the largest coverage in all of Latin America. It operates approximately 710 daily flights in a network covering 150 routes to over 75 different destinations in 25 different countries.

In addition to the A320 aircraft with which it travels between Bogotá and Havana, Avianca’s fleet has an Airbus 320 and a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which are used to serve destinations with high demand and emerging routes. connection
