The Department of University, Innovation and Digital Transformation of the Government of Navarra organizes, with the collaboration of the public company NASERTIC and the Dédalo Foundation, the free workshop “Tread safely in the digital age” which will be held on November 21 at the Ribera Solid Waste Association, in Tudela.
After the good reception of the workshop on the same topic held last September in Pamplona, it has been decided to adapt its programming to do so in one in the riverside capital. This activity is part of the Digital Adventure program, which offers different training in digital skills and use of technologies free of charge, and which is financed with NextGenerationEU European funds, from the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
In this workshop, which will be held between 4:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., current issues will be addressed so that society becomes aware of the new reality generated in the digital era in which we find ourselves immersed. Sex and violence on the Internet, lies and hoaxes on the Internet, cyberbullying, cyberespionage or the dangers of online gambling are some of the topics that will be developed during two sessions in which the best experts at the regional and national level will be present.
“Tread safely in the digital age” aims not only to provide information of interest on the aforementioned subjects, but also to provide practical advice, tools and instruments that are within the reach of everyone to live and manage in the digital environment knowing the risks. to which we are exposed and how to control and prevent them.
Joaquim Torrents, journalist from Cadena SER will open the day with the presentation “Who am I and what mark do I leave in my digital life?”, and then Vivian Rangel, Media Literacy and Educational Strategy technician at the Maldita.es Foundation will talk about ” Is it true or is it a lie?”

After a break, the next block of interventions will begin Blanca Martínez, psychologist from the PAUSE Prevention Service of the ANTOX Association, with the conference “Knowing what I’m playing for when I play online;” and the teacher and head of Training for Friendly Screens Leire Lasuen will discuss the topic of “Sex and Violence on the Internet: Harassment in digital media.”
To end the day, Juanma Pérez, computer science professor of the scientific-technological project at the Santo Domingo Foundation, will speak with the presentation “What do I have to do to tread safely in the digital era? Safe use of digital media.”
