The signing that CB Avenida needed to complete ‘for now’ the squad for the 2024-25 season is now official. It is the Caribbean inside player Mikiah Herbert Harrigan, nicknamed ‘Kiki’, who will arrive in Salamanca with her British nationality, 25 years old and 1.88 tall to be one of the blue-and-white painting’s references under the orders of Anna Montañana.
«The piece that, for the moment, completes the puzzle of Perfumerías Avenida inside will arrive from the WNBA: Mikiah «Kiki» Herbert-Harrigan. The Caribbean player, with British nationality, thus joins the blue club for the 24-25 campaign, offering her multiple «weapons» at the service of the Salamancans. Kiki will arrive in Salamanca from the WNBA, where she is participating in the Phoenix Mercury, but with experience in European competitions. The power forward has already participated in the Eurocup with London Lions in the 22-23 campaign, being chosen MVP of the British league and, last season, with the Turkish Galatasaray, a team with which she scored almost 12 points and 6 rebounds in the Turkish league, in addition to having been international with Great Britain. Born on the island of Anguilla, a former British colony, the young player, 25 years old, offers a multitude of variants in the offensive and defensive game. “Mobility to play “facing” towards the inside, outside shooting (41% in 3-pointers in the Ottoman league), speed and talent. In addition, thanks to her size (at 1.88m tall) she is an excellent blocker in defense. All of these qualities will be a perfect complement to the blue-and-white interior arsenal in the next season,” the club from Salamanca expressed in its official communication.
Kiki joins the signings announced in recent days by the Salamanca club for the 24-25 season: the American power forward Cierra Burdick – recent bronze with the United States in the 3×3 at the Paris Games, and the also Serbian inside player Masa Jankovic.
