Hollywood film Avatar 2 will not be screened in Kerala, says ‘Fiok’. The reason for the ban is because the suppliers ask for more money. The film will be released worldwide on December 16. Many fans are waiting for the film in Kerala as well. The film is also distributed in Kerala by the Disney Company. Distributors are asking for a sixty percent share in theaters in the first week of release. But the owners of the theater are of the opinion that a share of more than 55% cannot be given.
Avatar 2 is the sequel to the box office hit Avatar released in 2009. It stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Matt Gerald, Cliff Curtis and Kate Winslet.
Avatar 2 and 3 are mostly set in and around the ocean. Part II introduces a new race of rock-dwelling Na’vi called the Metkaina. If the first part of Avatar was about forests and against deforestation, the new film is a love letter to the sea. The tropical beaches and shores of Pandora are described in the film as a seaside paradise.
After 2009’s Avatar, Cameron announced that the life of the alien “Navi” on Pandora will be presented to the public in four parts. After years of technical research and actor training, Avatar 2 was shot underwater. The producers say the film will be packed with technology that will keep audiences on edge to the point of surprising even a Navy SEAL.
