The 95th edition of Oscar award led to Avatar – The way of water the statuette for Best Visual Effects. An award ceremony in this case decidedly announced, which however took place a few minutes later insidious fold.
After the visual effects team led by the chief supervisor –Eric Saindon withdrew the coveted award, the latter was immediately hospitalized where he returned surgery is needed.
According to a spokesperson for Weta FX, the visual effects production company that worked on James Cameron’s blockbuster, Saindon spent the entire day of the event in severe pain that forced him to do a quick check-in at a Beverly Hills hospital around noon. Ascertained the negativity of the test for appendicitis and kidney stones, Saindon decided to attend the ceremony of awards using painkillers prescribed by doctors.
However, after the award ceremony, the artist began to experience increasingly excruciating pain that forced him to abandon the interview in the press room at the ceremony to go immediately to hospital. Here the doctors have established the cause of the man’s severe pain, due to an unexpected event rupture of the small intestinewhich therefore required immediate action. However, the Weta FX spokesman confirmed the success of the surgery and how Eric Saindon is currently being held in the facility.
Eric Saindon is a long-time and proven professional in the world of visual effects. During his career he also supervised the former Avatar (2009), Sir Gawain and the Green Knight (2021), Alita: Battle Angel (2019), The invisible dragon (2016), A night at the museum (2006) e X-Men – Final Conflict (2006). Saindon was also nominated for an Oscar for his work on two films in the de trilogy Lo Hobbit.
