At least four people have lost their lives in an avalanche in the French Alps. The landslide is said to have occurred just before 12 o’clock on Sunday.
– So far, four people have been confirmed dead and several have been injured. The rescue team is still working at the site, writes Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin on Twitter.
The avalanche occurred at the Armancette glacier near Chamonix.
The newspaper France Bleu reports that the landslide must have been 500 meters wide and 1,600 meters long.
