This Tuesday, the Etablissement Français du Sang and the Amicale des Donneurs d’Autun organized their traditional monthly blood collection. A collection that took place at the Eduen, the Hexagon still being requisitioned by the vaccination center.
In a particularly difficult context and with still low stocks of blood products, 98 people came to extend their arms. Among them, three made this gesture for the first time. Unfortunately, as for the collection in July, five donors, who had yet registered, did not honor their appointment. “It’s a shame because three people who, they had not registered, could not give”, regrets Françoise André, president of the Amicale des donors de sang.
Three bags of blood, it may not seem like much but in this period when the needs are very important, it is always taken.
