The coronavirus is still here and could resurface. The corona jab gives people who are at higher risk of becoming seriously ill to receive extra protection against hospitalization or death from corona.
Many vaccination locations in the IJsselland region
This year, there are more vaccination locations available, so that the vaccination can be administered closer to home. There are 14 vaccination locations in the IJsselland region. Residents of care institutions are vaccinated in their institution. People who cannot come to a vaccination location independently or with the help of others due to their health, can possibly get the corona vaccination at home.
Invitation Policy
Everyone aged 60 and over will receive an invitation letter. For people under 90 who received a corona jab last year, there is already a proposed appointment in the letter. Other recipients can make an appointment themselves via planjeprik.nl.
Adults between the ages of 18 and 59 who receive an annual invitation for the flu shot, as well as healthcare workers and children and adults with a serious immune disorder, can also get the corona shot. They will not receive a letter, but can make an appointment themselves from August 27 via planjeprik.nl.
This also applies to people who do not belong to the target group, but who still want a corona vaccination because of a vulnerable family member or on the advice of a treating physician. For children, an appointment can only be made by telephone via 0800-7070 (from 27 August).
