At the start of the autumn holidays in Saxony and Thuringia, a total of 154 passenger planes will take off from Saxon airports on the first holiday weekend. There are 49 at Dresden Airport and 105 at Leipzig-Halle Airport, as reported by Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG.
In addition to German and European metropolises, sun destinations on the Mediterranean, the Atlantic and the Black and Red Seas are also very popular.
For example, 32 aircraft fly from Leipzig to Antalya (Turkey), nine to Palma de Mallorca and seven to Hurghada (Egypt). Various destinations in Greece are also served.
The autumn holidays in Saxony and Thuringia begin on Saturday. In Saxony-Anhalt they start two weeks later.
