About it stated Chief State Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Igor Kuzin on the air of “Ukrainian Radio”.
The official believes that the holidays in secondary schools should be extended to reduce the burden on the health care system.
“Most likely, they will be continued a little. But we don’t think they will be too long. They usually last two weeks. We are now discussing a three to four week period, ” – he said.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Education and Science recommended to postpone the autumn holidays from October 25 to 18, but the decision to start the holidays early is made by the local authorities.
So, in some cities already statedthat they will not endure the holidays. According to the preliminary schedule, they will study in Kiev, Dnipro, Lutsk, Zhitomir, Rivne, Chernivtsi and Ternopil. They also refused to endure the holidays in Odessa, although from Monday schoolchildren there will switch to distance learning.
