Fair in Cologne: The autumn folk festival takes place on the banks of the Rhine in Deutz for nine days. From October 28th to November 5th you can expect fun, lots of entertainment and fun at the fair.
Ready for bratwurst and cotton candy: There is a fairground atmosphere for nine days on the banks of the Rhine on the Schäl Sick. At the Cologne Autumn Fair – also known as the Autumn Fair – from Saturday, October 28th to Sunday, November 5th, the carousels will rotate between the Deutzer Bridge and the Severinsbrücke. The fair organizer, the Cologne Showmen’s Association (GKS), expects around 600,000 visitors. Around 80 showmen provide entertainment at the Deutzer Werft.

Rides and attractions on the fairground
As premieres, the centrifugal mills “Anubis” from the Denies family of showmen, the “Voodoo Jumper” from Schäfer and “High Impress” from Oberschelps are making their rapid laps at the Deutzer shipyard for the first time. Things are hardly less wild on “Rocket” and “X-Force” as well as on the popular roller coaster “Wilde Maus”.
The classics “Musikexpress”, “Breakdance” and “Mr. Beat” are also on site. Just like the bumper car “Houseparty”, which has a new feature: some of the cars can even drift if desired. The towering Ferris wheel “Europarad” is also located on the festival site directly on the Rhine.

Tips for getting there
Due to the lack of parking spaces near the fairgrounds, we recommend traveling by bus and train. The KVB lines 1, 7 and 7 stop at the “Deutzer Freiheit” stop, the KVB lines 3 and 4 at the “Suevenstraße” stop. Anyone traveling from the surrounding area by S-Bahn or regional train should get off at the “Köln-Messe/Deutz” station. (Photo: Helmut Löwe)
