LINZ. The city of Linz reports several autumn construction sites: new sidewalks are under construction on the Froschberg and Spallerhof. In addition, the Aufeldweg in Plesching will be extended.
Due to a new building by “LEWOG” in the Schwayerstraße on the Froschberg, a new pavement is being built. In addition, the road surface will be renewed and the roadside on Handelstrasse will be adapted.
Renovation of the pavement in Turmstrasse
The Turmstraße pavement between house 6 and the ÖBB underpass is also being renovated. The sidewalk will be widened to about 1.5 meters and the adjacent cycle path to two meters. The ten vertical parking spaces will be delimited with a curb and an island of greenery will be built for the planting of trees. An area of about 350 square meters will be freshly paved in the parking area and in the pedestrian and cycle path.
Both construction projects will start on 10 October, cost around 60,000 euros each and will last two weeks.
Construction site in Plesching
There is another autumn construction site in Plesching: as a new residential property is being built, the Aufeldweg is being extended. In addition, a green cavity is created for drainage. It is also necessary to install adequate street lighting and preparations are underway for this. The structural interventions commissioned by the City of Linz are estimated at around 35,000 euros and are expected to be completed in October.
