Autumn Códax festival, the sounds of black music return to Santiago – The Guide GO!

The quintessential festival of black music in Galicia, the Outono Códax festival returns with the best sounds of the genre and the performance of 5 unpublished bands in Galicia
Under the patronage of Martín Códax and with the collaboration of Pousadas de Compostela, it is back in its 8th edition to bring the best of the genre closer together through its usual format: a cycle of 5 great concerts with the best international, national and Galician references from the sounds of soul, rythm & blues, swing, funk and classic rock’n roll with bands like The Tibbs, Marta Ren, Natty Congeroo, JP Bimeni or The Rad Trads among others. How could it be otherwise, it will close this year with a tribute concert to the queen of soul, Aretha Franklin, by the hand of 4 of the best female vocalists on the national soul scene.
The festival completes its musical proposal with parallel activities. This year includes the Trash exhibition, by cartoonist and graphic designer Roberto Argüelles. In addition, there will also be a record fair with a talk-colloquium and an exhibition of Swing dance.
October 19; November 9, 10 and 24; and December 27
