The Korneuburg public prosecutor’s office ordered an autopsy to clarify the circumstances of the death.
In the bedroom of a residential building in Ernstbrunn (Korneuburg district) are discovered two bodies on Tuesday morning been. According to police spokesman Johann Baumschlager, it was an 83-year-old and his 78-year-old life partner. Third-party debt had not been found, but could not be ruled out either, it said. An autopsy should clarify the reason for the deaths.
According to Baumschlager, the Ernstbrunn police station was notified by relatives of the 83-year-old on Tuesday. It was announced that the senior had not been available for three days. During an inspection in the residential building in the Ernstbrunn cadastral community Maisbirbaum, the officers finally discovered the two bodies.
“No signs of burglary or fighting were found,” said Baumschlager. No obvious evidence of injuries was found on either body. The availability of the preliminary autopsy results will take some time, the police said.
