Sragen –
Officers conducted an autopsy on the musician’s body Julius Panon Pratomo alias Yus Panon, whose body was found by residents floating on Bengawan Solo, Masaran, Sragen, Central Java. As a result, officers found no signs of drowning on the victim’s body.
“The results of the autopsy have not officially been issued by the hospital (RSUD Dr. Moewardi Solo). However, verbally conveyed that the cause of death was out of breath,” said Sragen Police Chief AKBP Yuswanto Ardi, when contacted. detikcom, Tuesday (25/5/2021).
Yuswanto said the officers did not find any signs of abuse on the victim’s body. But on the other hand, the officers also found no sign of the victim dying from drowning.
“There are no signs of persecution. Signs of drowning are not found, yes, because the respiratory tract is clean,” he said.
The condition of the respiratory tract is clean, raises questions regarding the possibility that the victim had died before entering the water. Regarding this, Yuswanto admitted that he would still wait for the results of the official autopsy while conducting examination of witnesses.
“Yes, that’s why investigators still don’t fully believe in it, so we will also balance it with witness testimony,” he explained.
Yuswanto said that witness examinations had been carried out since this afternoon, on the people who last met the victim. Until now, his party has examined two witnesses.
“That’s right, we asked for information at the Police. There were two of his friends who last night met him,” he said.
In addition, he continued, officers also asked the family for information regarding the possible history of the victim’s illness. Yuswanto said, the possibility of the victim dying as a result of a criminal act also did not escape the investigation by the officers.
“We will explore all kinds of scenarios, including perhaps the person concerned has a heart attack or how he falls into the river. Or, the worst thing is, we will also investigate the possibility of a criminal act,” he explained.
The condition of the victim, who was already rotten when he was found, had made officers estimate that the victim’s body had been dead for three to four days. According to Yuswanto, this estimate could be wrong due to the fact that there were witnesses who saw the victim still alive on Sunday (23/4) in the morning.
“The bad condition of the bodies can occur naturally. If yesterday the prediction of corpses was 3-4 days, I think it was only a prediction, because in fact on Sunday morning at 1 am, the person concerned was still chatting with witnesses,” he explained.
