The management of the Mulhouse site of Stellantis, formerly PSA, announced on Wednesday the use of short-time work, for two days, for forge, foundry and tool factories. The announcement was made at an extraordinary meeting of the Social and Economic Committee. The employees of the forge will not work this Thursday and Friday and the measure will apply Monday 6 and Tuesday 7 September for the employees of the foundry and tooling.
This recourse to short-time working is the consequence of the disruptions caused by the supply problems of electronic components which affect the global automobile industry and severely disrupt assembly plants, particularly in Europe. However, the forge, foundry and mechanical factories of Stellantis Mulhouse supply all the factories of the group born from the merger of PSA and Fiat Chrysler last January.
