Automoteur Vredo Trac VT5536

Vredo moves to Stage V with its Scania engine designed to deliver maximum torque at low revs. Ditto in terms of speed, its continuously variable transmission propels the car to 40 km/h at just 1,080 rpm. This will reduce fuel consumption. Also note the light weight of the machine, the possibility of going crabby and the distribution of ideal loads…. arguments for entering the fields even at the start of the season without compacting the ground.

Vredo lifts the veil on the latest addition to its VT5536 range of railcars available from the 2022 season. A four-wheel steering machine adapted to the needs of agricultural entrepreneurs benefiting from the Stage V emission compliant Scania DC 13 engine. The block provides 2,465 Nm of torque at just 1,350 rpm and up to 550 hp of power.

The machine is fitted as standard with a 12 m Vogelsang volumetric pump3/ min loading capacity and a filtration unit. For those who expect more work output, the manufacturer offers an optional VHP technology (Vredo High Performance), namely the loading capacity which climbs to 16,000 l/min. Result: the 22,000 l tank is full in just 90 seconds! The suction arm also allows pump on the right as well as on the left of the machine.

Its compact construction combined with the steering axles gives it a outstanding maneuverability. Headland maneuvers are thus easier. The forward position of the wide cab improves visibility both on the road and in the field. Crab advancement, good weight distribution and drive axles… the equipment can enter the fields quite early in the season. This is without counting on the device of BDWS tire inflationwhich also minimizes soil compaction.

On the transmission side, the manufacturer opted for its box VVT550, a continuously variable model whose range oscillates between 0 and 40 km/h. The operator thus selects the speed suited to his work and always optimizing the engine speed to limit fuel consumption. It reaches 40 km/h at just 1,080 rpm! Thanks to the detachable pump-filter unit and the easily removable tank, the VT5536 can also be used as a tool carrier. In particular, it can intervene when tamping corn silos.

Work in business class

The cabin is spacious and quiet; it also benefits from a suspension to guarantee the comfort of the operator. It is fitted as standard with automatic climate control, a Grammer Maximo Super-Comfort seat, multifunction terminals and an ergonomic joystick. Without forgetting the VTC 2.0 system (Vredo Trac Control) which further enhances working comfort. The brand sets the tone with its machine and sets the framework for driver comfort.

Tank side return: it is made of polyester and has a capacity of 22,000 l. When empty, the car weighs 19.7 t, making it one of the featherweights in its class. The machine is homologated to circulate on 2 axles and remains under the 3 m mark in terms of width on the road. Its short hitch construction limits the overhang. The first units of the VT5536 should be available for delivery as early as spring 2023.
