AutoL, a lidar specialist company, will present a high-resolution long-range lidar sensor at ‘2023 Robo World’.
AutoL is a LiDAR specialist company that was spun off through Hyundai Motor Company’s in-house venture program in May 2021. With the experience and know-how of former automotive engineers, it developed and commercialized LiDAR optimized for autonomous driving.
The key product that AutoL is introducing this time is the ‘G32’ model, a high-resolution long-distance lidar sensor. It is suitable for forward detection of self-driving cars and robots and has a detection distance of up to 250m. G32 satisfies the durability and reliability standards for automobiles, and through technology patents, the product structure has been simplified while maximizing resolution and detection distance. The company said that upon mass production, it is expected to be supplied at a price one-fifth lower than that of existing lidar of the same specifications. G32 obtained not only KC certification, but also FCC and CE certification. Currently, we are supplying and selling samples to domestic autonomous driving companies and research institutes.
Another product, M32, is a high-resolution mid-range lidar sensor and is a small sensor with a detection distance of 150m. Its small size makes it easy to mount in a local location, and like the G32, detection performance is maintained evenly across the entire field of view. When participating in CES 2022 and 2023, the M32 sample was demonstrated and attracted attention by detecting not only visual detection of surrounding dynamic targets, but also speed and direction data.
In preparation for the full-scale commercialization of self-driving cars and robots, Autoel aims to contribute to the popularization of autonomous driving in the future by supplying small, low-cost, high-resolution LIDAR that precisely recognizes and detects obstacles in the driving space.
